Vince Huzicka

Violin & Viola

Vince Huzicka is a violinist and violist from Youngstown, Ohio. He currently studies Music Education at The Ohio State University with Dr. Robert Gillespie and viola with Dr. Juliet White-Smith. He began his studies at age 10 where he developed his passion for music. Huzicka began teaching lessons in high school and has had a fervor for music education ever since. Vince has been awarded by the OSU School of Music in the field of Music Education for the past two years in a row.

Vince served as a teaching assistant for the Canfield Suzuki Strings and Boardman Orchestras Summer Class Program near Youngstown. He also serves as the Columbus Youth Orchestra Chamber Strings Orchestra 1st violin coach.

In addition to his teaching experience, Vince has recorded and performed with the Youngstown Scoring Stage. He placed 3rd in the Galante Competition of the Yehudi Menuhin Chamber Music Seminar in San Francisco. Vince also won the Maestro Award for Solo Performance from the Chicago Heritage Music Festival. Huzicka served as personnel manager and violist of the Christ Church String Quartet and the Boardman String Quartet for 4 years.

Vince enjoys working with students of all ages and hopes to encourage as many people as he can to love music.
