Piano Lessons with Caitlyn Koester

Caitlyn Koester is a masters student in Juilliard’s Historical Performance program studying harpsichord with Peter Sykes, Richard Egarr and Beatrice Martin. She received a BM in Piano Performance from the University of Michigan, where she studied piano and harpsichord with Christopher Harding, Edward Parmentier and Joseph Gascho. In her native Pacific Northwest, she was a recipient of numerous Oregon and Washington MTNA awards, the Trula Whelan Concerto Competition, and raised money for music education through performances with Ten Grands Portland and Seattle. She has participated in the Columbia Symphony Orchestra Summer Program, Banff Centre Masterclass Series, Indiana University Piano Academy, Amalfi Coast Music Festival, Amherst Early Music Festival, American Bach Soloists Academy, and the Leipzig Bach Competition. As a member of Juilliard415, she has performed under the direction of Monica Huggett, Jonathan Cohen, Elizabeth Blumenstock, Robert Mealy and William Christie. Caitlyn teaches keyboard students through City Strings and Piano, and has held internships with Portland Piano International, Ann Arbor’s University Musical Society, San Francisco Performances, SF Conservatory Pre-College, and San Francisco Opera.
